I wanted to capture the feeling of a typical dark, moody winter afternoon on the Scottish coast when the light is often flat, it is usually cold and there is a sense of foreboding. This image was taken behind the harbour wall in Cellardyke on the Fife coast. A long exposure was used to flatten out the sea and make it blend naturally with the flat sky.
